Currently cardboard is not a material commonly used in Cuban art, however, its impersonal texture is the element that allows Francisco to circumvent the refinement cultivated by abstract spirituality and approach the vernacular tradition that evoke those faces. It is precisely the combination of both factors, which drives beyond their limits those visual codes that support the pieces, whose aesthetic values become resources through which the artist expresses his experiential environment.
