Glenda Léon's Statement
There is a longing ignored by a state of complete freedom, for a sense of belonging to the world. I believe in an art that works as a reminder of that state of harmony, listening fully… An art that is as kind of alert to walk more attentively through the world, and that elevates us either spiritually or conceptually.
I am interested in the space between the visible and the invisible, between sound and silence, between the similar and the different, between the ephemeral and the eternal.
Like magic, art is an act of transformation that can sometimes be a simple coincidence, an action to perceive the imperceptible.
From a state of silence and full attention arise ideas. Art is not an outlet for frustrations or problems, but the result of deep thought.
